Going back in time (Narrative Essay)

 To go back in time will be a really great experience. Most people find it absurd but I think going back to the past will not do any harm. It’s not bad saying “If only I can go back in time and change my mistake” or “I want to go back to being a teenager and enjoy life”. Every one of us experience different situations and I know that someday, those words will escape your lips.

It’s been almost three years that I’ve been a student of my school, Don Antonio de Zuzuarregui Senior Memorial Academy (DAZSMA). And during those years, there was never a year that passed without us, watching a play in AFP Theatre. This year, as a junior student, we’re tackling about our beloved national hero Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere in our Filipino Subject.

We also had a chance to watch “Batang Rizal”, a play by PETA in Assumption College Antipolo. I remember the fun we had while watching it. The story is all about Pepito, a student who was assigned by his teacher to take care of Rizal’s statue for their school program. However, the gang who bullies him took away the statue and accidentaly hit it. The blame was put on Pepito so he was asked to replace the statue within a week.

The next day, Pepito went to the library and read a book about Jose Rizal. When he flipped to the next page, the next thing he knew was that he’s back in Rizal’s time. There were lots of comedy acts when he became friends with Pepe, the little Rizal. They shared different stories and had some little adventures with each other.

“Batang Rizal” is a memorable play for us. Even though Pepe wanted to change his future when Pepito said that he died for the country, he still accepted his fate. We were moved but happy and satisfied when the play ended. They made us realize how beautiful it is to get a chance to live. It showed that Pepito had a great experience when he went back during Rizal’s time.

Reach Your Heaven (Process Analysis Essay)

Our dreams play a huge role in our lives. It gives us determination and focus to reach that particular goal we want to achieve. Of course, every one of us has a dream but before we fulfill it, we must undergo different and difficult circumstances as well as giving everything we've got just to make our dream come true. Let me enumerate some ways on how to reach your dream.

First, we have to study real hard. Most of us spend almost all the days of our lives learning in school. In fact, we spend more time interacting with our peers and teachers than being at home with our parents. That's why we have plenty of chances to improve our skills like social, mental and physical. Not just that, our knowledge also increases. Attending school is a big help for all of us because they give us benefits and by understanding the word "benefit", it is for our own good.

Be responsible. If you want to become successful, it takes a lot of effort and it usually drains your patience. If you have given your best, you will surely succeed. For example, passing a requirement or having an interview for a certain job, don't slack off. Instead, you should prepare to present yourself as someone who is suitable for the job. Let's not be overconfident that we'll get the job because we never know what will happen.

Be optimistic. Don't be such a pessimist because if you think you're not capable of doing the task, it will affect your performance. Always think positively because the outcome is usually good if you believe in yourself. Don't let others affect you and your focus so just be a positive-thinker and everything will be all right.

Never give up. No matter how many trials you face or you're so tired of giving you all just to reach your goal, don't lose hope. Waiting is a part of succeeding and after all, good things come to those who wait. If you follow these tips, you'll surely fulfill your dreams and reach your own heaven.

Trip to Mars (Descriptive Essay)

There's a lot of famous foreign artists in the industry today. Some of them sings the same type of genre, has the same style of clothing and also the same way on how they rose to stardom. Despite them, there is one artist that caught my eye.

His name is Bruno Mars. That's what everyone calls him. His original name is Peter Gene Hernandez who has Puerto-Rican and Filipino blood. I'm pretty sure everyone knows this multi-talented singer. He can play the guitar, play the piano, he can dance, he also has millions of fans and there's only one reason why people from around the world support him. It's because he sings from the heart.

He is a part of my daily life. I always listen to his music everytime I come home from school. His words, his songs and his feelings that go with the lyrics, it helps me relieve my stress. When I hear his songs, I feel calm especially if the song playing is a love song because he usually plays the piano. One of my favorite song is his "Grenade". I am so obsessed with that song beause he showed his ways of proving his love to the girl he admires the most no matter what it takes or how hard it is. That's where I got the idea that he's a sweet, down-to-Earth, polite and friendly person. Of course, he's also handsome as well as a respectful person in our generation.

Does he remind me of something? Yes, he does. His song entitled "Today my life begins" really encourages me to live life to the fullest whether you experience ups ad downs. I often give up on very hard problems and situations but when I heard this song on the radio, it changed my perspective in life. Ever since that day up, I've been working hard to be happy, be successful and to be a great person who can be a role model to other people. Last year, he went here for a concert. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come. I saw many articles in the internet about his lively concert and the article revealed that "Bruno Mars is surely a pride of the Philippines." Knowing that my fellow countrymen are proud of him too, it was definitely enough to make me happy.

Bruno Mars is a renowned and unique artist to date. He's not all about getting famous. He just wants to express his feelings through his music and once you hear his songs you'll surely know what kind of person he is. He's a real and honest person and he's not yet done with his career. It's only the beginning!
